Our company’s history exem-plifies the changes which have taken place in horticulture in the Bergamo region.


Mioorto, which has existed for generations in traditional agri-culture, recognised the potential of growing crops in cold frame greenhouses and in 1991 it converted entirely to growing pre-washed vegetables, with a
single, ambitious objective: to obtain high quality produce.

Over the years, we have experimented with and used the most innovative crop-growing techniques, new varieties, and modern machinery. We have
reached the target of a constant production of fresh vegetables, and broadened our horizons as regards producing, processing and packing vegetables.

Innovation obviously plays a part, but it must be in keeping with the principle of producing “quality without compromise”. To obtain this, we strongly believe that we must live in harmony with our environment and with complete respect for our greatest asset: the Ground.
